# How to install the Stremio APK on Android [Step-by-step guide]

If you have tried to install the Stremio app for Android during this past week, you have probably noticed that our app is not listed on the Google Play Store. The app has been temporarily removed, however this doesn’t mean that you can’t get it on an Android device. There is an alternative way you can do this!

This installation will require you to perform a few additional steps but don’t worry – it’s actually quite easy. To make things even easier, we have described the steps to follow in this blog post, just keep reading!

## Install the Stremio APK on an Android device

**Step 1**: Go to [https://www.stremio.com/downloads#android](https://www.stremio.com/downloads#android) from an android device. You will see two APK download files. If you are an average Android user, you will need the first one (the ARM APK). Tap on it.

**Step 2**: Allow your browser to store downloaded files.

**Step 5**: On this step, you will need to allow installing apps from our website. Tap on “Settings”.

## Sync your add-ons

Some of our users have complained that they can’t install some add-ons via the Android app. If you face this issue, simply get the add-on through our desktop applications – the desktop and Android apps are synced automatically so this should solve it.

**Step 8**: Once that is completed, you should see Jacktook Add-on Repository updated. Go to Install from repository now.

# Using Stremio Web on iPhone / iPad

You can now use [Stremio Web](https://web.stremio.com) on iPhone and iPad, offering a more complete experience than the Stremio Organizer app available in the App Store.

**Important:** Stremio Web will still not be fully featured without connecting it to Stremio Service (which is unavailable for iOS at this point), some missing features include: converting videos to support the browser, torrent streaming, etc.

In this article we will go through the best scenario of using Stremio Web on iOS without connecting it to Stremio Service, our goals for this article are:

- Installing the PWA to show on Home Screen.
- Disabling the "server not connected" warning.
- Logging in to Stremio Web.
- Changing the "Play in external player" setting.
- Installing a video player (if not already installed).

In order to make [Stremio Web](https://web.stremio.com) show on your Home Screen for easy access at all times, you will need to install the PWA. In order to do this, open Stremio Web with the Safari browser (this is the only browser that supports PWAs), then press the following two buttons:

Now let’s open Stremio Web from your device Home Screen (from ur iPhone or iPad device). You will probably notice the “Streaming server is not available” warning:

Simply press “Don’t show again” (as this article is for using Stremio Web without the server attached), now let’s log in by pressing this button:

After you logged in, go to the settings page:

And scroll down to the “Play in external player” setting:

Change the value from “Disabled” to one of the supported iOS video players: VLC and Outplayer

After making the selection, you should also ensure that the video player that you chose is installed on your device.

That’s it! You should now be able to use Stremio Web on your iPhone or iPad device.

As mentioned at the start of the article, with this method torrent streams will still not work, but all other streams will be opened with an external video player.

For more advanced usage, you could also run Stremio Service on a Desktop device in your home and connect it to Stremio Web (from the settings page) in order to get torrent streams and playback in browser working as well.

**Step 3**: Paste "stremio://torrentio.strem.fun/manifest.json" into the Upstream Manifest URL if you do not want to make any changes.

**Step 3b (Optional)**: Otherwise, make some changes to the settings and copy the installation link. It should look something like this _"stremio://torrentio.strem.fun/qualityfilter=other,scr,cam,unknown/manifest.json"_

**Step 4**: Paste this link into the "Upstream Manifest URL"

**Step 5**: Under Store Name, select **"Easydebrid"**

**Step 6**: Enter your Easydebrid API key [https://paradise-cloud.com/guides/easydebrid-api-key](https://paradise-cloud.com/guides/easydebrid-api-key)

5. In the search field, type Downloader. You need this app to install Stremio.

6. Now, the search results are displayed on the screen under Apps section. Select Downloader from the listed apps.

9. After you have opened Downloader, go to Browser and type in "stremio.com", then hit Go.

13. Scroll down and click on the Stremio APK version. That’s the one you need to download. Remember to Select Stremio For Android TV app

15. After the download is complete, the installation menu will appear. Click the down arrow a few times and select Install.

**Step 1**: Select either a monthly or yearly plan with Paradise-Stremio

**Step 2**: You will be redirected to Stripe billing page, please proceed to fill in your details

**Step 3**: You will be redirected to the “Subscription completed” page. Click on dashboard for the next step.

**Step 4**: Click on Configure to begin the proceed

**Step 5**: Enter an email address and a password. If you do not have an existing Stremio account, a new account will be created for you

**Step 6**: Next, you will be asked to connect your EasyDebrid account to your Paradise-Cloud account. Please provide a valid email address to receive a magic code.

**Step 7**: Fill in the magic code in your email. Check your spam folder if it is not in your inbox. Also, if you still do not get an email, try whitelisting “easydebrid.com”.

**Step 8**: Click on the approve app button

**Step 1**: Login and click on the dashboard
